This picture was taken in Omaha, Nebraska around 1980-3…as you can tell, I can’t remember exactly. I was working at Legal Services in Council Bluffs, Iowa and singing on the week-ends in Omaha…a very complex adventure. Breaking into a new cities entertainment circles is not easy and sometimes male musicians can be especially cruel to female vocalists…I don’t know if they even think about what they are doing and what effect their actions have…they may just be born that way.
